“What’s important is that you make the leap. Jump high and hard with intention and heart. Pay no mind to the vision that the commission made up. It’s up to you to make your life. Take what you have and stack it up like a tower of teetering blocks. Build your dream around that.” -Cheryl Strayed, Tiny Beautiful Things
We went to Hawaii back in April and my husband did a lot of golfing. And when I say a lot, I mean er day. It was during those moments I had to myself that I would watch other people paddle boarding and finally worked up the nerve to try it myself, alone. I fear that this post could head in the direction of an existential diary entry, so I will leave it to my favorite author ever, Cheryl Strayed to do the more eloquent summary of what I felt after conquering a thing or things that seem scary or hard (I know it’s just paddle boarding, but let’s go with the analogy!): It’s up to you to make your life. Happy Friday.
